UK-based house developers, including Horncastle Group, Redrow Homes and Riplingham Estates, and BAE Systems have submitted a £100m mixed-use project to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council in the UK.

The partners plan to build 800 new homes in Brough, with accompanying health and leisure facilities, shops and offices.

If approved, construction work is expected to get underway next summer.

The plan also includes highway improvements designed to benefit the development such as the improvement to the A63 junction at Brough, Elloghton and Welton interchange, which aims to improve capacity, deal with existing congestion and improve safety.

Phase one of the Brough relief road has already been constructed and phases two and three will provide an important link to Skillings Lane and BAE Systems.
