Mobile mapping: Advancing the possibilities for building documentation

Building documentation has traditionally consisted of 2D drawings, with restrictions on who can access it and how regularly it is updated. The lack of a 3D perspective is a severe limitation. However, this can all change with laser scanning and mobile mapping technology. We explore the capabilities of tech company NavVis in turning building documentation into fully 3D digital environments with comprehensive spatial data that can be made accessible anywhere, anytime.
