Swedish developer Skanska has won a Skr480m (€57m) contract from LähiTapiola Group for construction of a two-storey shopping centre in Finland.

Planned to be developed in the city of Jyväskylä, the Seppä shopping centre will feature around 24,000m² of rentable space.

The developer is expected to allot spaces for a wide variety of shops as a part of the centre, which will include stores focusing on fashion, sports and leisure.

Construction works for the project will also include spaces for a wide variety of restaurants and are expected to start immediately.

Parking spaces for around 600 cars and 110 bicycles will be developed at the underground floor of the shopping centre.
