
Samsung C&T has received a contract from Alpine Return, a joint venture between United Malayan Land and Symphony Life, for the construction of a Star Development in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The $310m project comprises construction of three high-rise towers, including a 57-floor, 251m-high tower and two 58-floor, 265m-high residential towers.
Star Development is planned to be built in the central business area in Kuala Lumpur in the vicinity of the Petronas Twin Towers.
Samsung C&T president and CEO Chi Hun Choi said: "We are honoured to be part of the Star Development project.
"We look forward to continuing our support for Malaysia’s growth and development, having participated in large-scale projects including Petronas Twin Towers.

By GlobalDataAfter completion of the project in 2019, the new structures would become one of the tallest residential towers in Kuala Lumpur.
The project will offer Star Residences luxurious residential homes and Star Boulevard, embracing a signature retail and entertainment hub.
Star Development will also feature Malaysia’s first 200m-long Star Walk of Fame; a promenade integrating local and international superstars in the style of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and Hong Kong’s Avenue of Stars.
