The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 33.58% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.53% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 1.11% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Komatsu IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Komatsu, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.22% in November 2022, and a 46.72% drop over October 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 18.43% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 39.39%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.52% in November 2022, a 28.57% drop from October 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Komatsu

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in November 2022 with an 85.25% share, which marked a 48.18% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 8.29%, registering a 10% month-on-month decline. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 6.45% share and a flat growth over October 2022.

Canada commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 44.7% share in November 2022, a 54.25% decline over October 2022. US featured next with a 40.55% share, down 39.31% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Komatsu IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.15%, down by 46.38% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.5% share, a decline of 33.77% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 23.04% share, down 46.81% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.3%, recording a month-on-month increase of 400%.
