Germany’s construction industry registered a 12.9% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.28% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.26% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.29% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 49.43% in November 2022, registering a 53.76% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 24.14% share, a decrease of 61.82% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.49%, registering a 66.67% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.9%, up 20% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 39.06% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s construction industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Bilfinger posted 17 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 19.05% over the previous month, followed by Liebherr-International with 6 jobs and a 50% growth. ABB with 6 IT jobs and Erich NETZSCH GmbHHolding KG with 5 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 28.57% decrease, respectively, while Vinci recorded a decline of 81.48% with 5 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.37%, down by 62.91% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.69% share, registered a decline of 10% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.94% share, down 43.48% over October 2022.
