France’s construction industry registered a 23.3% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 19.36% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.83% share in November 2022, recording a flat growth over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry in November 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 49.7% in November 2022, registering a 50.3% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 22.49% share, a decrease of 63.46% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.43%, registering a 40% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 11.83%, down 37.5% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 57.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s construction industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Nexans posted 56 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 34.12% over the previous month, followed by Bouygues with 38 jobs and an 80.31% drop. Vinci with 21 IT jobs and Somfy with 12 jobs, recorded a 5% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Compagnie de Saint-Gobain recorded an increase of 16.67% with 7 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.19%, down by 52.16% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.53% share, registered a decline of 43.1% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.28% share, down 62.16% over October 2022.
