Switzerland-based company ABB’s IT hiring declined 33.9% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 36.08% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 10.76% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.38% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops ABB IT hiring in November 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by ABB, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.39% in November 2021, and a 52.91% drop over October 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 13.93% in November 2021, and registered a decline of 43.33%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.38% in November 2021, a 74.29% drop from October 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at ABB

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 41.8% share, which marked a 29.17% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 40.16%, registering a 62.88% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 16.39% share and a 67.74% drop over October 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.64% and a month-on-month flat growth.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 33.61% share in November 2021, a 14.58% decline over October 2021. US featured next with a 14.75% share, down 56.1% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 10.66% share, a decline of 74% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead ABB IT hiring activity in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.28%, down by 59.63% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.15% share, a decline of 40.63% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.57% share, down 59.57% over October 2021.
