3DReid has received planning consent for the first hybrid PPP procurement project in Scotland.

The £60m ($93.7m) Western Isles Schools Project will be built for Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Western Isles Council).

Faithful+Gould will serve as the private sector development partner for the scheme.

The scheme will involve development of five schools in the region including the Nicolson institute, Stornoway; Sir E Scott School, Tarbert; West Side Primary School, Barvas; Balivanich Primary School, Benbecula and Bayble Primary School, Point.

Work will involve refurbishment, remodelling and extension.

3DReid also employed a consultant team for the scheme.
