Manchester-based architect Leach Rhodes Walker has unveiled a design for a proposed 54-storey tower to be built in Liverpool, UK.
The £130m tower will stand 165m high and is touted to be the tallest building in northern England, according to bdonline.co.uk.
The tower has been redesigned with sustainable features after it received criticism from The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) and the local council.
The new design has been submitted to CABE, but no feedback has been received yet.
Further consultation is expected to be conducted with the local council before submitting a planning application.
The tower will be sited on a hilltop on the edge of the city’s world heritage site, making it visible from every direction.
