The $224m Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Replacement Facility is situated on the 90-acre Edison Lakes Medical Campus and comprises a 663,000ft² hospital and 155,000ft² medical office building.
The medical campus houses a two-storey diagnostic and treatment centre with a six-storey tower that includes rooms for various departments.
The medical office building is connected to the hospital and includes a cancer centre, physician offices and retail space.
A two-storey public concourse offers pedestrian-friendly access and serves as meeting space.
The centre is lined with a series of ponds and walkways including the chapel garden, healing garden, and a dining and cafe terrace.
Sustainable concepts incorporated in the design include water-efficient landscaping, alternative transportation and reduced light pollution.
