US-based Push Architecture has designed the CO² Cube, a visual reflection of one tonne of CO².
The 8.2m cube has been installed for demonstration on a lake in Copenhagen where climate talks are currently taking place.
The three-storey cube building has stored CO², which is measured at standard atmospheric pressure. It was built using 12 shipping containers stacked in an interlocking pattern on a custom-engineered flotation barge.
Mesh fabric covers the two sides where video footage can be projected, while on the other sides the container fabric has been exposed.
