UK-based HawkinsBrown Architects has designed a 650-home estate for Peabody Group based in South London, England.

The firm’s proposal doubles the capacity of the existing development and serves as a template for Peabody’s future vision, the company said.

Peabody’s vision was drawn up by Terry Farrell and is expected to offer further work to other architectural practices with future projects.

A detailed business plan will be drawn and planning permission needs to be sought for the site in Clapham, South London.

According to the proposal, every home will have space outside and will be built to exceed Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Social housing grants, sale of private homes and low-carbon initiative grants will fund the housing scheme.
