A ‘great outdoors plan’ to revitalise London’s public spaces has been unveiled by London Mayor Boris Johnson.

About £220m has been allotted for more than 50 projects, which will range from redesigning streets to new public squares and reclaimed green spaces and waterways.

The plan, done to a tight budget, has been criticised for being nothing but a rebranding exercise by opponents.

The plan includes 36 schemes of ‘great spaces’ plan which had been launched earlier this year.
