UK-based landscape architect Scape Design Associates has been appointed to create a new public square near Hammersmith Town Hall in London, UK.
The public scheme project is part of a wider regeneration plan for the area conceived by architect Sheppard Robson.
The square will replace an office building and offer views of the grade II-listed Hammersmith Town Hall.
A pedestrian link leading from the square will include trees, level changes, amphitheatre-style seating and a water feature.
Scape will also collaborate with Robert Townshend who is the lead landscape architects on the scheme and continue public consultation.
A planning application is expected to be submitted in 2010.
