A design review panel has been set up by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) to provide advice on the government’s proposed eco-towns.

The design panel is expected to review the proposals for Whitehill-Bordon in Hampshire, Rackheath in Norfolk, North-West Bicester in Oxfordshire and St Austell in Cornwall.

The expert panel will review proposals on various criteria such as sustainable measures, low-carbon planning and so on.

The panel will work alongside the Communities and Local Government (CLG) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and the reviews will be conducted as a part of CABE’s national design review programme.
