US practice Basonas Construction has commenced exterior renovation of the four-storey Cristo Rey High School in New York, US.

The school’s north-facing windows will be have their lintels replaced, and replica stones will take the place of the brownstone entrance and stoop in the frontage as part of the renovation process.

The front cast iron fence and railing will be supplanted by cast iron replicas while the stained glass windows will also be revamped to their original condition.

Another US-based firm Norfast Consulting Group oversaw the designs for the restoration campaign.
