London practice RTKL will submit the planning application in 2010 for the construction of the £6bn Vertical Theme Park in Birmingham, UK for developer VTP Global.

The 200m-high building (VTP200) will be the world’s first vertiplex leisure tower and has various amusements such as the 32-storey ‘giant drop’, two scenic lifts, a bungee jump, 20 flight simulators and a 120m ‘walk of fear’ with no hand rail.

The vertical theme park also includes a house at its base, a 250-bedroom hotel, 15 restaurants, bars and retail space.
