Sydney’s Star City Casino is undertaking a massive redevelopment project that will include a new hotel for the Darling Harbour site.

Property company Brookfield Multiplex has been commissioned to oversee contacts for the construction of a new 13-storey hotel on the switching station site and will extend the casino building along the Pirrama Road frontage.

The regeneration of the Star City Casino is valued at A$575m and is scheduled to be complete by 2011.

The development will feature a new five-star hotel with 252 rooms and a 500-car parking capacity, casino reorientation, gaming floor expansion, spa and gymnasium, retail and restaurant precinct and an open landscaped deck with harbour.
