The commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has slammed architect Kohn Pedersen Fox’s masterplan for the UK’s Victoria station, according to a report on Building.co.uk.
CABE’s review panel says the controversial design needs a good rethink, criticising the layout of buildings, public spaces and the seeming lack of effort in sustainability.
A central square, to be called ‘Station Place’, also drew criticism for having too much “leftover space”.
Wilkinson Eyre and Benson & Forsyth also worked on the project, which is being developed by Land Securities.
