Slovenia, Slovakia and Poland have all recorded large increases in construction activity in the last year, according to research released by Eurostat.

The research shows a rise in construction figures in most EU states, though Portugal recorded a decrease of 10.7 percent.

Slovenia’s market grew by 30.3 percent, Slovakia by 20.1 percent and Poland by 19.4 percent in the year just gone – this is in relation to overall EU figures that show construction was on the rise by an average of 7.1 percent (up 6.4 percent in the year ending November 2006).
