Work on a 1.5-million-square-foot mixed-use retail project called Phoenix Mart, is set to begin in Casa Grande, Arizona, US.
The $150m mixed-use project, designed by AZ Sourcing, will be built on 150 acres in a commercial area off Interstate 10.
The development will be one of the largest commercial ventures of its kind in the US, according to Jeremy Shoenfelder of AZ Sourcing, which will design the complex.
The new development is expected to represent 2,000 vendors in the mart and the entire project is expected to be complete by early 2013, according to insidetucsonbusiness.com.
Located in Casa Grande, the centre is linked to the prime distribution routes in the south-west and is only a short shuttle bus ride for buyers flying into Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport.
