Canadian telecommunications firm Telus has announced its intention to construct a “green” data centre in Rimouski, Canada.
The data centre will be constructed by global construction firm Skanska.

The new facility will feature a modular design to enable Telus to expand capacity.
The facility will have a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15 and is expected to receive a LEED Gold certification upon completion.
Construction of the facility is expected to commence in a couple of weeks, with completion scheduled for 2012.
