YIT begins work on three Russian residential projects

Finnish building construction company YIT is constructing residential projects in Russia, together worth approximately €40m.

In St Petersburg, the company is constructing two residential projects. The second phase of the apartment building project Tarmo, located close to the centre of St Petersburg, will begin in December.

The second phase will comprise 183 apartments with a floor area of 9,000m² and a value of nearly €18m.

Similar to the first phase of the project, construction in the second phase will also feature Transformer apartments, where residents can change the floor plan of their apartment according to pre-designed alternatives in case of change in need.

Construction will be completed by the end of 2020.

A total of five 11-storey apartment buildings with more than 800 apartments will be constructed in the Tarmo project. A day-care centre for 80 children is also planned.

In Pushkin, a suburb of St Petersburg, YIT will construct the fourth phase of a residential area called Inkeri.

The fourth phase comprises four five-storey buildings housing 245 apartments with a total floor area of 10,500m², and some of the apartments are Transformers.

The development is located near the Tsar-era palaces and parks. It is also near several services and transport options.

The fourth phase, valued at more than €11m, will be completed in the third quarter of 2020.

In the city of Yekaterinburg, the company is constructing an apartment building complex, Suomen Ranta, which consists of five 14-25-storey apartment buildings with a total floor area of 62,500m². The premises will also include business premises and two parking facilities for 300 cars.

The total value of the project is approximately €67m, and is set to be completed in 2023.

It will be constructed in phases and under the €11m first phase, one of the two 25-storey tower blocks will be constructed at the edge of the site.

The block will feature 269 apartments with a total floor area of 12,200m².

Suomen Ranta is easily accessible, with public transport stations, including the metro, within walking distance.
