
AMCAL Equities has closed financing and began construction on a new $75M student housing community for California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) in the US.
The new 9.05-acre community at 2920 Ramona Avenue will feature 225 units, providing 750 beds. It will feature three five-storey wood-framed student housing buildings covering a total area of 31,000 sq m.
The Crossings will also include a 1,375 sq m clubhouse with an outdoor basketball court and a resort-style swimming pool, a 1,021 sq m Center for Innovation, retail shops, and a surface parking for 432 cars and 475 bicycles.
The project will incorporate energy-efficient features such as Energy Star appliances conforming to the LEED silver standard.
The project is expected to be complete in August 2018.
The Crossings has been designed by Humphreys & Partners Architects. AMCAL General Contractors is managing the project’s construction and AMCAL Equities is serving as the developer and owner.
