Wison Engineering secures largest modularisation project in US

Wison Petrochemicals has secured a $360m contract for the modularisation of the design and supply processes, bulk material procurement and on-site construction and installation for a petrochemical project in Texas, US.

The company said that this is currently the largest modularisation project undertaken by a private Chinese petrochemical engineering company in the US. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.

Wison Petrochemicals, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese company Wison Engineering Services, has will maximise the modularisation of the design and supply processes, ensure the quality and safety of the project, enhance installation efficiency, lower costs and shorten installation time to provide the most economical solutions to the client.

In July 2017, Wison Petrochemicals had signed its first contract for the modularisation of the design, construction, transportation and installation in North America.

Wison Petrochemicals vice president Vivian Li said: “We appreciate the trust and support rendered by the project owner.

“We will fully leverage our advantages as a Chinese enterprise while maintaining close communication with our client on module optimisation.

“We will also work closely with the local construction contractor in the US to deliver quality experience that exceeds customer’s expectation by providing differentiated and high value-added services.”

Wison Engineering Services provides chemical engineering, procurement and construction management (EPC) service and technical service.

It specialises in the provision of construction and technical services for engineering installations in the petrochemical, coal-to-chemical and refining industries.

Earlier in 2018, Wison Engineering had announced the establishment of Jiangsu University-Wison Engineering Big Data Joint Laboratory with Jiangsu University (JSU).

The laboratory aims to promote cooperation between both parties in price trend analysis and cost dynamic analysis for energy and chemical products.

It is committed to developing industrial standards in terms of collection, storage, analysis and use of chemical products price data, and will also facilitate the transformation of scientific achievements into productivity through industry-university-research cooperation.
