Vinci Construction has won a £60M contract to refurbish the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London, UK.

The company will renovate 12,000sq m of the hotel area, including a facelift to all rooms and public areas, following a one-year pre-construction services agreement.

Work will also involve the construction of two large 165sq m penthouse suites as an extension on the ninth floor roof.

The project will be executed in two nine-month phases. Phase one will revamp all rooms in the Knightsbridge wing, while phase two will revamp the rooms overlooking Hyde Park.

Purcell will serve as the project architect, with interior design by Joyce Wang Studio and Thiany Design.
