Verdion, a real estate investor and developer, has wrapped up construction on £100m logistics facility for Amazon in Doncaster, UK.

The 1.1m sq ft is located at Verdion’s iPort development, which is a strategic rail freight interchange in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The warehouse measures 0.5km in length, which is the size equivalent of 14 football pitches, with an interior fit-out design and specification that is unique to Amazon.

Verdion European development director John Clements said: “We are delighted to have completed on schedule, less than 12 months after signing the deal with Amazon – extremely quick for such a large and complex project.”

iPort will deliver more than 6m sq ft of Grade A logistics warehousing linked with a high specification rail freight intermodal container facility providing rail freight services with continental gauge clearance to all major UK ports and the Channel Tunnel.

Gent Visick, CBRE and Colliers are letting agents for iPort.
