Veidekke Entreprenør has won a contract from Entra ASA for the construction of a new building for the University of Oslo’s Faculty of Law, located in the centre of the Norwegian capital.

The contract is valued at NOK528M ($64.5M) and will be executed on a turnkey basis.

The 22,000sq m development will feature ten floors above ground plus a basement.

Veidekke CEO and president Arne Giske said: "We have worked on developing the project in collaboration with Entra for the last couple of years, and are now looking forward to proceed with the good cooperation in the construction stage.

"Developing and building good premises for knowledge and education is one of the most important things a contractor can do, so we are very pleased that Entra has shown confidence in us and look forward to starting work."

Construction is set to commence in 2017, and the building is scheduled to be complete in late 2019.
