Tutor Perini wins $72M residential building contract

Tutor Perini Building, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini, has won a contract worth about $72M to build the first of eight residential towers at Metropica in Sunrise, Florida.

The scope of the contract, awarded by Metropica Development, will include the construction of a 28-storey tower that will feature 263 units and ten penthouses. It will also feature a resort-style pool, an indoor game room, a 24-hour fitness centre, massage therapy rooms, tennis courts, a movie-theatre and a parking garage.

The overall development will cover an area of about 64,800 sq m. Construction on the project is in progress and substantial completion is anticipated in August 2018.
