Tutor Perini Building, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini, has won a $285m contract from Pechanga Development to expand the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
The project, slated to be substantially completed by the end of 2017, will involve the addition of a new AAA Four Diamond, 568-room and suite hotel wing; along with additional event space spanning 67,000 sq ft.
Work will also include the addition of a stand-alone luxury two-storey spa and salon featuring 17 treatment rooms, a fitness centre and hydrotherapy pool terrace, a resort-style pool complex with eight pool areas, as well as two new restaurants.
Tutor Perini has earlier completed several phases of the resort and casino over the past 13 years.
Pechanga Development president Patrick Murphy said: “Perini was the general contractor for the original Pechanga resort that opened in 2002.
“This development will complement our current offerings, enhance the resort experience for guests, and cement Pechanga Resort & Casino as the preeminent luxury gaming destination in California.”
