Technip Norge has signed an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract from DEA for work on the Dvalin gas field development in the Norwegian Sea.

Scope of work includes fabrication of smaller structures, the 12- and 16-inch pipe-in-pipe production flowline, the 12-inch gas export pipeline, installation of pipelines and subsea structures, and umbilical for the Dvalin field.

Dvalin will be developed with a four wells subsea template that will be connected to the Heidrun platform.

The development is expected to entail an investment of €1.1bn and to start production from 2020.

DEA Norge managing director Hans-Hermann Andreae said: “This contract is another major element for the Dvalin field development. We will now start to collaborate closely on the details with all companies we have on board, to continue the efficient work on the project.”
