Statoil awards contracts worth $188.6m for three fields in North Sea

Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil has awarded contracts worth NOK 1.6bn ($188.6m) for Oseberg Vestflanken 2, Johan Sverdrup and Gina Krog fields in the North Sea.

Oseberg Vestflanken 2 will be located about 8km northwest of the Oseberg Field Centre. Johan Sverdrup will be located on the Utsira Height, 155km west of Stavanger, while Gina Krog will be located around 30km northwest of Sleipner and 230km southwest of Stavanger.


Technip Norway has won a contract for pipe laying at Johan Sverdrup and Oseberg Vestflanken 2. The total value of the contract is about NOK400m ($47.1m).


Ocean Installer has received contracts worth about NOK200m ($23.5m) for marine construction and installation at Oseberg Vestflanken 2, Johan Sverdrup and Gina Krog.


Hereema Fabrication Group has secured a contract for engineering, procurement and construction of the unmanned wellhead platform at Oseberg Vestflanken 2. Hereema Marine Construction will be tasked with transport and installation of the platform. The contract has a total value of about NOK800m ($94.2m).


Aibel has won a contract worth about NOK200m ($23.5m) for engineering, procurement, construction and installation on the Oseberg Field Centre, to prepare the platform for receiving the well stream from Oseberg Vestflanken 2.
