South Korean steelmaker POSCO has signed an agreement with Iranian steelmaker Pars Kohan Diar Parsian Steel (PKP) to build a $1.6bn steel mill in southeastern Iran.

Developer partnership Stanhope and Schroder UK Real Estate have secured the green light for a second office building at the £500m Ruskin Square development in Croydon, UK.

The new 13-storey office building will cover an area of 23,000 sq m, and will be 63m high.

Designed by Make, the building will include ground floor retail and dining space and will be designed to achieve the BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating.

At present, the first 17,000 sq m office block is being topped out by contractor Lendlease, with the first residential building slated to be completed in mid-2016.

Stanhope development director Jason Margrave said that Building One’s structural steelwork is expected to complete within the next few weeks, with completion scheduled in the end of this year.
