Ssangyong wins three construction projects

Ssangyong Engineering & Construction has secured three construction projects valued at about KRW330bn ($280M) in Dubai, Singapore and Equatorial Guinea.

The Korea-based company has secured a $170M contract from the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) for the construction of an urban centre in Deira, Dubai.

The contract represents the first phase of the $1bn development financed by the ICD, which aims to transform Deira into a modern tourist complex.

The project includes the construction of a 14-storey hotel, two residential buildings and a 10-storey office tower.

Ssangyong has also been selected by the City Developments Limited to construct the ForestWoods condominium. The $82M development will feature seven 12-storey condominiums, featuring 519 housing units.

Additionally, the company has won an order to deliver a government-initiated construction project worth KRW30bn ($25.4M) in Equatorial Guinea.
