
Swedish construction firm Skanska has secured a contract worth €38m from the Helsinki Housing Production Department ATT to construct 189 apartments in Helsinki, Finland.
The project will be developed in three phases that will combine to form a block, dubbed Gustaf Wilhelm.
The buildings will mainly be six stories high. An underground parking facility will be built at the centre of the block. On top of the parking lot, there will be a courtyard.
The project includes common facilities, such as saunas, as well as two commercial facilities.
The development is located near a large shopping and service centre and well connected by public transport.
Construction work on all the three phases of the project will begin on 1 June 2017 and will be completed at the end of November 2019.
The value of the contract will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter of 2017.
