Skanska secures $200M New Jersey hospital contract

Skanska has been awarded a $200M contract by Inspira Health Network to construct a new hospital building in New Jersey, US.


The scope of the contract includes the construction of a five-storey hospital with 204 beds.

The main tower of the development will feature operating rooms, an emergency department, imaging suites, as well as administrative, dining and support services.

The 41,000sq m scheme also involves the construction of a new central utility plant, which will supply electrical power, heating, hot water and chilled water.

Construction on the project will commence in the first quarter of 2017 and is expected to be complete by December 2019.
