Saipem bags offshore contracts worth $370m

Italian oil and gas industry contractor Saipem has been awarded contracts by Eni Angola and Gazprom’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline project with a combined contracts value of about $370m. 

The first contract, which was awarded by Eni Angola, is related to the West Hub development project offshore Angola, which is in addition those previously assigned during 2016 and 2017.

Under the contract, Saipem will be accountable for the construction and installation of umbilicals, risers and flowlines at Block 15/06. The work will be executed by the E&C Offshore division.

Additionally, Eni awarded Saipem an engineering, procurement and construction of the infrastructures needed to strengthen the capacity of the gas stations situated in the vicinity of the ports of Takoradi and Tema in Ghana.

Separately, Nord Stream 2 AG has awarded a new contract for the construction of the last section of the pipeline crossing the Baltic Sea and the shore approach in Greiswald, Germany.
