Parsons has secured a contract from United Development (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Islands, to provide planning and infrastructure consultancy services for the development of Floresta Gardens at The Pearl-Qatar.
Scope of services includes the design of master plan, infrastructure, landscape, public realm and retail centre, in addition to the schematic design of the precinct’s 10 mid-rise residential towers and utilities tie-in points for three gated villas.
UDC president and CEO Ibrahim Jassim Al-Othman and Parsons senior vice president and MEA built environment division manager Gregg Welch co-signed the contract.
Al-Othman said: “The distinguished Floresta Gardens’ development will play an important role in UDC’s future growth plans for The Pearl-Qatar.
“Through inspired designs and high-quality living spaces, we are confident that the precinct will be a highly sought after investment opportunity for both local and external investors.
“This distinctive project reflects UDC’s commitment to offer integrated real estate projects that boost Qatar’s position as an attractive lifestyle destination.”
Community living options to be offered at Floresta Gardens will feature Haussmannian-style architecture.
The precinct will accommodate 5,000 residents and will consist of 145,967m² of developable land and a gross floor area of 267,471m².
The project will feature 10 mid-rise residential towers and 114 villas within three gated villa compounds, and a retail centre covering an area of 2,452m².
Welch said: “Our team is excited to create a high-quality residential community that offers a diverse lifestyle, with stunning waterfront and public realm views.”
Tenders for the infrastructure works and the construction works of the retail centre will be announced in March 2019.
UDC is a luxury real estate development company based in Qatar with a portfolio of projects, including real estate development, property management, and infrastructure and utilities.
