
OHL Concesiones has secured approval from the Metropolitan Council of Lima for a $500m road project in Lima, Peru.
The private project by OHL known as Conexión La Molina-Angamoswill involve the construction of a 12km-long urban road. The road will link La Molina, Surco, San Borja, Surquillo and Miraflores. and will consist of two lanes in each direction along the entire length.
The project, expected to cut down travel times, will include an excavated 1.5km-long tunnel that will bypass Cerro Centinela, and false tunnels under the Raúl Ferrero, Primavera and Angamos Avenues.
Work will also include branch roads joining the main road network including Vía Expresa and Pan-American Highway.
