Abu Dhabi-based National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Gujarat, India.

Under the $316M contract, NMDC will be responsible for the land reclamation activities, and the construction of breakwaters, jetties and associated facilities.

The project — part of the company’s plan to expand its operational footprint into Asia — will also include massive dredging and marine infrastructure works.

Mobilisation of the equipment to the working site will start in the post-monsoon 2016 period.
