Australia-based contractor Multiplex has bagged a new contract from developer Shayher Group to construct the second of three towers at its Brisbane Quarter project in Australia.
The AUD180m ($136.7m) contract includes construction of a 42-level commercial tower, which will cover an area of 48,342 sq m.
The Shayher Group’s mixed-use Brisbane Quarter development will also feature a five-star W hotel, W Brisbane, and an 82-level residential tower with a riverside retail and dining precinct.
The Brisbane Quarter is an AUS1bn ($759.1m) project from Shayher Group, with space for lease in both the office tower and retail areas.
Construction on the commercial tower at 300 George Street is expected to commence next month with the completion scheduled by mid-2019.
