Morgan Sindall Group has announced that its Construction and Infrastructure division has bagged a two-year extension to its three-year Framework Agreement with Western Power Distribution, valued at £60m.

As per the terms of the extended contract, Morgan Sindall will provide excavation, carry out cable laying and reinstatement works in the West Midlands region in the UK.

In November 2014, the company was appointed to the framework, with an estimated annual value of more than £30m.

The extension will be effective until October 2019 and will enable Western Power Distribution to maintain and improve its electricity network.

Morgan Sindall will provide planned and reactive works on Western Power Distribution’s 11kV to 33kV distribution networks across the West Midlands region, including Stoke-on-Trent, Telford, Tipton, Birmingham, Hereford and Ludlow, Worcester and Gloucester.

Morgan Sindall Group CEO John Morgan said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract extension, which we believe reflects the close and productive working relationships we have with Western Power Distribution, and the quality of the work we do.

“It also reflects the range of skills and capabilities we have in our Construction and Infrastructure division and its strong position for the future.”
