McAleer & Rushe has secured a £130m contract from Quintain, a UK-based property investment and development business, to construct 553 new homes at Wembley Park in London, UK.
The latest contract represents the second phase of the South West Lands development. First phase of works, valued at £55m, have already been awarded and are scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2019.
Of the total 553 new homes, 114 will be affordable housing units, split between affordable rent and shared ownership. The rest 439 will be rental homes managed by Tipi, a wholly-owned entity of Quintain
The development will feature a centralised ‘hub’ building, an onsite gym, library, resident’s lounge and concierge service leading out to a podium garden.
The South West Lands plot is located next to Wembley Stadium and London Designer Outlet and offers a key link from Wembley High Road for people visiting Wembley Park and the Stadium.
The £130m contract also represents McAleer & Rushe’s third contract at Wembley Park and takes the overall contract spend with the contractor by Quintain to £212m.
