Marshall Group Properties has inked a joint venture (JV) agreement with housebuilder Hill to construct 450 homes in Cambridge.

Hill will be responsible for delivering phase one of a new development known as Wing, which will be spread out on a 160-acre land area owned by the Marshall Group.

The first phase, designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards architects, will involve construction of 315 private and 135 affordable homes in a variety of configurations including one to three bedroom apartments as well as two to five bedroom houses.

The property will also feature a primary school, sports pitches, allotments along with retail and commercial space.

Marshall of Cambridge CEO Robert Marshall said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Hill for the first phase of the Wing development.  Both Marshall and Hill are well aligned in respect of values, ethics and focussing on delivering excellent customer service. Together, we look forward to delivering an outstanding community on Cambridge’s eastern perimeter.”

The first homes are slated to be completed in mid-2020.
