R&F Properties has selected Mace to deliver Phase 1 of its Nine Elms Square residential-led mixed-use development, located next to the US Embassy in central London on the South Bank of the Thames in the UK.

The phase one of the project involves the construction of three towers and a podium with retail and residential amenities. It is estimated to have a gross development value of £480m.

Ranging from 36 to 54 storeys, the buildings will offer 880 apartments across 11,555m².

Mace construction chief operating officer Gareth Lewis said: “We are proud to take on the challenge of delivering part of Vauxhall’s latest iconic residential development, at the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful relationship with R&F Properties.

“We will use our experience in building some of London’s most complex and challenging projects to make the client’s vision a reality and deliver the three architecturally outstanding towers at Nine Elms Square.”

Located at the heart of the wider Vauxhall regeneration area, the Nine Elms Square will feature a total of 12 buildings, offering 1,900 new homes.

Expected to contribute to the existing skyline of Vauxhall, the scheme will include the Linear Park shops, Offices, and a GP’s Surgery.

Additionally, the scheme will provide public open space including the eastern gateway to the ‘Linear Park’ that will stretch from the three towers to Battersea Power Station.

The three Nine Elms Square towers, which will be the latest addition to Vauxhall’s skyscraper cluster, are designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

In March 2019, Stevenage Borough Council and Mace have signed a new agreement to jointly work on the long-term transformation of Stevenage Town Centre.

With a gross development value of around £350m, the agreement, SG1, seeks to create a new quarter of five distinct character areas on the western side of the town centre as part of the regeneration programme.

SG1 is one of the largest town centre regeneration schemes in the region. The mixed-use regeneration scheme includes plans to create new streets within Stevenage, and a redesigned, modern Town Square.
