Lunda Construction JV bags $239m 35W & Lake Street joint venture project in US

US-based construction company Tutor Perini has announced that a joint venture (JV) team of its subsidiary, Lunda Construction, together with Ames Construction and Shafer Contracting, has bagged a contract from the Minnesota Department of Transportation for a 35W & Lake Street Project. 

The contract has been valued at about $239m and includes various highway and access improvements along a 4.5-mile stretch of I-35W south of downtown Minneapolis.

As per the terms of the contract, the JV partners will be responsible for constructing 23 bridges, 64 cast-in-place retaining walls, grading, drainage, concrete paving and associated structures.

Construction is likely to commence in August 2017 with substantial completion anticipated in the fall of 2021.
