L&T construction unit wins contracts worth $307M

Larsen & Toubro’s construction arm has secured contracts worth INR20.46bn ($307M) across various business segments.

The firm’s power transmission and distribution business has received orders worth INR8.26bn ($124M). The scope of the contract will include the construction of projects for rural electrification under the Integrated Power Development Scheme, as well as extra-high voltage substations and overhead transmission lines across various locations in India.

The heavy civil infrastructure business has been awarded a INR6.75bn ($101M) order for the construction of elevated viaducts and stations.

The building and factories business has also won a INR4.34bn ($65M) residential project. The scope of the work will include engineering, procurement and construction of three towers, with two levels of common basement and other ancillary facilities.

Additionally, L&T’s transportation infrastructure business has secured contracts worth INR1.11bn ($16.6M) in its various ongoing projects.
