India’s L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs3,572cr ($554.5m) across various segments.
The Bangalore International Airport Limited has awarded a Rs1,358cr ($210m) contract to L&T Construction to build new infrastructure facilities at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
The project, to be taken up on EPC basis, involves construction North Remote Stands, East Remote Stands, South Parallel Runway, Cross Field Taxiway, T2 Apron and associated works such as pavement, drainage works, ancillary buildings and associated infrastructure facilities.
The works are expected to be completed in phases.
The Metallurgical and Material Handling Business of L&T has won an order worth Rs1,264cr ($196m) from JSW Steel for the construction of a Blast Furnace and Steel Melt Shop as part of expansion plans at the 5 MTPA plant at Dolvi.
L&T Construction had earlier implemented capacity augmentation projects for JSW.
The construction company has also secured add-on jobs from existing customers and from its product business.
The Power Transmission & Distribution Business of L&T Construction has won international orders worth Rs595cr.
It has won an order for the construction of a 380kV Switching Station in the Central Operating Area of Saudi Electricity Company.
L&T Construction has also secured an order from Morocco’s Office National de l'Electricité et de l'Eau Potable (ONEE) for the construction of a 225/60kV Substation at Dakhla (Morocco) along with 60kV overhead lines and underground cables.
The company has won an order from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company for the electrification of nine counties in Kenya.
The Buildings and Factories Business of L&T has won orders worth Rs355cr.
A healthcare firm has awarded a contract to L&T to design and build the Lucknow International Hospital at Lucknow.
The hospital will offer facilities such as radiology and imaging, laboratories, OPD, electro-diagnostics, chemotherapy, 10 operation theatre complexes, hybrid OT and brain suites, and ICUs.
L&T has also received additional orders from various ongoing projects.
