L&T Construction secures orders worth $244m in India

L&T Construction, the construction unit of Larsen & Toubro, has won orders worth INR15.93bn ($244.52m) in India.

The company’s Water and Effluent Treatment Business has won orders worth INR10.58bn ($162.5m).

It secured an EPC order from Udaipur Smart City Limited for ‘Integrated Infrastructure package of the ABD area of Udaipur City’.

This is a brownfield project intended to develop smart infrastructure in the city.

The scope of work includes design, rehabilitation and upgrade of 24x7 water supply network, including a water treatment plant, sewerage network, power distribution network, including underground cables for power and telecom, re-laying of roads, storm water drains, utility ducts and other allied instrumentation works.

The Water and Effluent Treatment Business has secured an order from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, Odisha, for providing water supply to Narasingpur, Badampa, Balikuda, Erasma and Naugaon blocks of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts in the state of Odisha.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of intake wells, water treatment plants with a cumulative capacity of more than 46 million litres per day, clear water reservoirs, intermediate booster pumping stations, overhead service reservoirs, laying of ductile iron and HDPE pipeline, and other allied electromechanical and instrumentation works.

The Dholera Industrial City Development has awarded the work for design and construction of industrial effluent pumping stations, common effluent treatment plant (CETP), master balancing reservoir – recycled water and pumping station at Dholera in the state of Gujarat.

L&T Construction’s Buildings & Factories Business has won an order worth INR5.35bn ($82.17m).

It received an order from an IT major for the construction of an IT park in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The work includes construction of four office towers with connected corridors, as well as a common three-level basement parking, to be completed in stringent timelines.

The scope of work includes civil, MEP, finishes and external development.
